Lemonjello’s Coffee exists… to introduce people to music that is sincere, beyond fashion, and an infusion of pop culture and artistic integrity.
How to book yourself at Lemonjello’s:
.If you have played Lemonjello’s before, email me and I’ll put you in line for a show.
.If you are new to us:
1. click here to email me this info: Artist Name + Link to Music Online + Where You’re From.
2. NO Myspace messages. NO phone calls. When I’m at the store, I have people to help.
3. We have A LOT more requests than slots. We can’t book everyone, so we will look at your music quality, your appeal to our crowd, how hard you’re working to promote yourself, & your reputation locally/regionally.
4. I will contact you if I’m interested and I have an opening. Even if I like you, I can only book some new artists each season. I listen to every artist. If you’re a good fit for a show, I’ll be in touch.

LEMONJELLO’S VENUE INFO & POLICIES:
Show Nights. 2-4 Fridays per month. Very occasional other days.
Sound. We provide a sound tech. We have a 12 channel board, monitor, mics and stands, plenty of cords and outlets. You must provide instruments, amps, and instrument cables. In most cases, we run guitar amps live because of the venue’s size. We also have a 6 light system to make the stage area feel a bit more like a stage. You can email sound questions to us on the contact page with the subject line “attn: sound.” We ask that you NOT bring any of your own sound equipment without first getting our permission. We have had too many things disappear because of equipment getting mixed. If you need more than we have, ask and we’ll try to accommodate.
Artist Payment. Artists are paid $50 + $1-per-artist-per-attendee above 50 attendees. That means that if you want to make more than $50, you better get out there and promote the show. Lemonjello’s covers show costs through drink sales, so encourage folks to buy a drink. If you are a signed/touring artist, we will consider an honorarium and a higher cover charge. All artists are encouraged to sell merchandise. If you need lodging, ask ahead. We can usually offer you a place to crash if we have notice.
Guests. Any guests an artist brings beyond 1 roadie will be expected to pay the cover charge. Girlfriends, moms, and friends should be willing to support you like everyone else.
Drinks. We do give artists free drinks the night of the show. This does not include guests you invite.
Water. We are trying to lessen the use of plastic water bottles, so we installed an awesome VivarO water filtration system. We encourage you to bring a reusable water bottle or ask for a glass instead of using plastic disposable bottles. Trust me, our filtered water is delicious.
Demographic. Lemonjello’s is located one block from Hope College in busy downtown Holland, Michigan. Our main draw for live music events is local college and high school students. Other clientele are welcome and encouraged to stop by on a show night. Attendance ranges from 30 to 80 folks. Our maximum capacity is 80. We let that stretch to 100+ for busier shows if no one tells on us.
Touring Acts. We give priority to local/regional artists. Unless you can promote locally, it’s hard to make enough at the door for touring artists to pay expenses. I will only consider an artist if they’re a good fit for the bill and they have another show near enough that their travel expenses are lower.
Disclaimer. Because we are an all ages venue, we retain the right to stop an artist at any time during their performance if we feel the content or artist’s attitude is inappropriate for the audience present. Please refrain from excessive swearing, graphic material, etc.
