IMPACT TO FARMERS Cooperative in the Dominican Republic provides essential loans to their cocoa farmer members. The co-op also provides technical training in quality improvement, including organic production. Farmers gain access to more and better resources, allowing them to not only plan for the future but also invest in their own communities.

IMPACT TO FARMERS CACVRA/El Quinacho Co-ops in Peru have chosen to work with cocoa the stable, safe and reliable alternative to the allure of cocaine production. By choosing to stay committed to cocoa production they have created a more viable and sustainable economic system for their future generations.

IMPACT TO FARMERS CECOCAFEN Cooperative has used a portion of their Fair Trade premiums to support the women’s development projects. More than 320 women participate in a solidarity savings and loan program. Many of these women are saving money for the first time in their lives.
Organic Ethiopian
IMPACT TO FARMERS The Organic Coffee Farmers Cooperative Union (OCFCU) includes roughly 150 co-ops, with over 130,000 members. By working together, farmer-members are able to pool their resources to construct new schools, health centers, and clean water centers.
Organic Love Buzz
IMPACT TO FARMERS Antofagasta Cooperative invested their Fair Trade premiums in improving their coffee processing facilities. They added raised drying beds, storage sheds, and new depulpers, demonstrating their commitment to quality and their long-term partnership with Equal Exchange.
